Well, the new house is finished and we are settling in. Of course, I ran out of time and money, so the storage building for the tractor, a Kubota 7510, isn't done and the poor thing will have to spend the winter outdoors. Should I invest in a cover for it, throw a tarp over it, or just leave it be? Any thoughts would be apreciated.

I keep mine in a cover-it portable garage. You can buy them for around 2-300 bucks now. Just be sure where ever you put it you have a decent floor even if it's a tarp or some plywood to keep the moisture from coming up.
I park mine in the cover-it or under my deck which is water proof. I invested 9 bucks in one of those "ultrasonic" mouse repelers and I'll be hard pressed to se a single mouse nest in the machine with this repeler under the hood. I think the thing works!
You can always build a ramp to he front dor and park it in the master bedroom!

It probably won't be the first or last time. If it has a vertical exaust stick a can over it. A small tarp over the driver compartment will keep the build up of snow and ice to a minimum. ....

I store implements up on pallets and throw tarps over them tied with bungee cords. The big stuff I tarp off and like to go out every week or two and run the engines for 30 minutes to keep them loose. Grease everything up good - voids in grease protection can lead to pitting and early failure. ....

Don't forget to remove any stuck-on mud, dirt, grass clods, etc from your tractor and implements. doing that will help keep moisture off and the machine in good condition. ....
